Our Mission
Nearly all CLS activities are serving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. CLS collects data from more than 400 satellites (earth observation, ocean altimetry, satellite telecommunications), develops models and analysis tools, to provide the policy makers with strategic and actionable information. Considering the fields of the Blue Economy, CLS observes the marine environment (currents, temperature, biology), the marine pollution, the weather conditions and wind fields, the maritime activities (shipping, fishing) and the impacts of the climate change.
